Have you tried using the "NewCartoon" representation?
It doesn't have the problem with the gaps, and it also
represents not-so-straight helices more faithfully than
the old cartoon representation does.

The edges of the coils do not meet completely with the helix cylinders so there are gaps in my structure. I saw where this might be a problem in the manual but I was wondering if anyone could help me get around this problem.
