Dear Cesar,
You can use the render form to make STL or VRML2 scenes within
VMD, which can be used to create solid models. Here's an example
of one that I printed using one of our old LH-II structures:

That one was done using a VRML2 file as input to one of the new
Z-corp color capable 3-D printers.
Here's the same structure printed with several identical
subunits, a few years back, when we used to have to hand paint them to
the colors we wanted:

Since you reminded it, I'll add some notes on how to do this into the
VMD 1.8 user's guide this weekend.
