a while ago (v1.8.3) there was a hack to use bfactors to modulate the tube width
of the ribbon representation to get some sort of sausage representation as in
pymol. the hack is still there but i can't get it functioning with
setenv VMDMODULATERIBBON Beta
any hints? plans to make it a standard feature? would be nice:)
