What is it that you're actually trying to accomplish?
No, you can't, at least not without some scripting.
That said, you could however draw a second sphere slightly offset
from the first, such that half of one occludes half of the other. The
resulting shape would no longer be purely spherical, but unless you render
with a ray tracer or with GLSL enabled, you wouldn't be able to see that
effect at all. Even then, if you keep the offset small, it will be
unnoticable. You could use the graphics drawing commands or a duplicated
molecule to achieve this. Perhaps there's a better way of doing whatever
it is that you're trying to do by coloring half-spheres in some other way.
