Dear all,

This could interest some of the Windows VMD users (I hope there are some out
Managing the various windows on a dual monitor layout
is tedious (especially, if one runs VMD multiple times per day).
Saving menu positions in the .rc file did not work that well (as I could not
get the console window to open), this is why I wrote an
Autohotkey<> script
that does the job.

The following hotkeys are registered
WinKey + V: either starts a new VMD session or brings all the windows of the
current VMD session to the front.
Ctrl + WinKey + V: Save the layout of the VMD windows to ini file (currently
the main window, the console, the graphical representations, the OpenGL
Display window and the TkConsole. (But this can be easily changed in the
WinKey + W: puts windows to sleep.

Please be sure to first save a layout, before using the Winkey + V.

I also made a Windows explorer context menu shortcut (similar to "Open
command window here"), which opens vmd in the desired directory.

Best regards,
