Hello to all,
Not being sure about which version of the prepackaged vmd to use on my
Centos install, I determined to compile from source.
I install freeglut, tcl, tk versions - compiled the packages and then
compiled vmd - started it up once and got the gui but no menu, following:
The irspecgui package could not be loaded:
The multiseq package could not be loaded:
The pmepot_gui package could not be loaded:
The solvate package could not be loaded:
The autopsf package could not be loaded:
The cggui package could not be loaded:
The dowser_gui package could not be loaded:
The membrane package could not be loaded:
The mutator package could not be loaded:
I exited and restarted - now I get:
ERROR) The X server does not support the OpenGL GLX extension. Exiting ...
Info) VMD for LINUXAMD64, version 1.8.7 (July 23, 2010)
Info) Unable to create OpenGL window.
Not sure why it got to me the first time and not the second.
my configure statement was:
./configure LINUXAMD64 TK IMD TCL OPENGL
If there is a prepackaged version vmd for:
Linux elcapitan.ucmerced.edu 2.6.18-194.8.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Jul 1 19:04:48 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I would appreciate knowing - but if I can resolve my compile issues that would be great.
thanks.
The autoimd package could not be loaded:
