I tried installing VMD 1.9.4 Alpha Version on our Linux machine, and everything seemed fine. But, when I try to run vmd (i.e. ./vmd), I get this error:

liboptixu.so.1: file too short

Looking at that file, it shows 0 KB, so it is empty. How do I fix this?
