Hi Naeem,

QwikMD detects how many cores you have available on your machine. The most recent versions of QwikMD allows you to type how many cores you want to use to run NAMD. If you believe that QwikMD is not showing the maximum number of cores available on the machine, you can always run NAMD on the command line, as explained in page 15 of the QwikMD tutorial.

I hope this helps.

Subject: vmd-l: Increasing cores in QwiKMD

Dear VMD users,

I am new in MD simulation. Right now, I am using vmd 1.9.3 QwikMD for MD simulation. This is just allowing me to use max 4 cores. Can anyone suggest me how to increase the number of cores in QwikMD?
