Hello,

Continuing with forwarding to upstream some fixes we were applying on Gentoo for
1.9.3 that are still needed with 1.9.4 I forward you a part of a bigger patch
that aims to not mix gcc and g++ calls and also passes LDFLAGS to plugins at
build time.

The patch is a bit bigger (as there are many plugins) but it mostly appends
LDFLAGS and fixes the gcc/g++ calls
