Hi
I want to use the phyton module within vmd1.8.5. I followed the
instructions in
the user's guide but I am having problems.
First I saw where python is installed in my system:
>>> import sys
>>> print sys.path
['', '/usr/lib/python24.zip', '/usr/lib/python2.4',
'/usr/lib/python2.4/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.4/lib-tk',
'/usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages',
'/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Numeric',
'/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0']
and then I added the following lines to the end of the .vmdrc
set env(PYTHONHOME) /usr
set env(PYTHONPATH) /usr
gopython
However when I type gopython in the vmd console, vmd closes.
I don't know why this is happening! Any help would be highly appreciated.
Best regards
Alexandra
