Dear Oscar,
In VMD 1.8.x, you would use the "crd" or "crdbox" file types to load
Amber 7 crd files. The crd file format is the same for both Amber 6 and
for Amber 7, so VMD just has one reader for it, though you have to tell
VMD whether or not the file contains "box" information (i.e. periodic
boundary conditions, etc..) by choosing the "crdbox" type when appropriate.
