Yet another option is to use a MPEG encoder which can do this on its
own, like TMPGEnc. There you can define the frame rate with which your
images change as a fraction of the frame rate of the movie. For
example, if you want to have your images change at the rate of 6 per
second, you can choose the movie frame rate of 30 with a divisor of 5,
which means that each image will be repeated 5 times before going to
the next image.
